Thanks for the head's up!

Speaking of 9mm, I just bought a G19 Gen 4. I also bought a case of Federal 115 grain (from Target Sports USA no less) for the range.

I haven't had a 9mm in over 15 years. What are some of the more popular self defense loads these days? Thanks!

I've heard good things about the Federal HST, but www.targetsportsusa.com is OOS at the moment.

We use (and I like) Federal Hydra Shoks 124 grain.

Great load as well. I believe the HST is a modernized Hydra-shock.

Here you go bro, watch this. Also, if you have time....search his playlists for a lot of different ammo tests.

Yes it is. The 9 might mouse has come a long way. My favorite 9mm SD load is the Federal HST in 124gr. Great round with awesome balistic gel tests.

Depends on barrel length....Full size...Glock 17, I lean to Federal HST in 147 grain or Winchester Ranger T in 147 grain.

Shorter barrel I would probably go to a 124 grain range, even a +p round.

Trouble is finding them now, they are rare. The hydra shocks mentioned are a good round too, though I think Caleb is correct, the newest HST rounds are considered the upgrade. Both will work if you do your job.

This also begs the question: is a four inch barrel "short" or full size? Obviously five is full and three is short but ballistically speaking, what is the four?
