I promised Robert a review on my holster, and I've procrastinated ( I caught this malady from my wife :D) So, here is my review, and I will TRY to post pics..but the old salts on here know how THAT song usually ends.
It's a basketweave left hand, zero cant that I wear on my right side, crossdraw style, and carry my dads old model 37 in it from time to time as a BUG (usually when I also carry the Kimber) The pattern is nice, tight and even. Stitching is well done and straight..I hate to see stitching that zigzags all over the edge of a holster. Color is well applied, no light or dark spots, pretty much even all over the holster.
The holster was just a tad tight when I first received it, not overly so, just a tad snug..which isn't abnormal for new leather. After putting the revolver in and leaving it in the safe for a few days, it fit fine..secured the weapon without being difficult to draw from The belt loop fits Al's 1 1/2" belt very well..not too hard to get the belt through, but no up and down play or wobbling side to side..all in all a very secure setup.
Robert was very porfessinal during the making of the holster, PMing me with updates and questions and suggestions..and after one mixup when signals got crossed, delivery was quicker than I expected, the price was more than resonable for the product delivered, and he was more than fair with me. I would recommend Roberts leatherwork to any of my friends on here looking for a quality hand built product. Thanks, Robert.
