Howdy All

Yep, you are all correct, Glock never made a 38Super, but I have now made a 38Super and yes it shoot like a baby.

It shoots flat and smooth with very little recoil using 38Super+P rounds.

Attached are two quick photos of the gun that does not exist (at least in the Glock world), but since I am a fan, a big Fan of the 38Super round, I just had to try and it took a while to get done and have a barrel cut (6" barrel), that we ported in our shop.....The barrel and slide are Fail-Zero finished and the Mgas have been made from 10mm Mags.....More later.....

I love it.
I like Glocks and love the Super.
Just wondering how you modified the mags and how did the extractor work?

First you must find the right barrel, then modify the lower & upper then the Mag:facepalm::D

Ok...
Got a 6" LW barrel along with a Gen 4 G20 top end.
But I'm looking for a Gen 4 Glock 40 MOS to fit the 6" barrel into.

I have been a long time 1911 and Glock fan where in my world the .45 ACP reigned supreme.
I recently started expanding my 1911 collection to include Dan Wesson offerings in both 10mm and 38 Super, and thought if it was good enough for my 1911s it should be great in a Glock as well.

The first thing I did was to buy a Storm Lake 10mm conversion barrel for my G30SF.
Then I bought a gen4 G20 complete upper for my G41 then ultimately purchased a Glock 40mos.

With my Glock 10mm itch scratched I began looking for what was available in 38 Super.
I quickly learned of only 1 choice. My search lead to a Lone Wolf 6" G40 conversion barrel in 38 Super.

I ordered it and I just installed into my G40 slide. I know, crazy right. It fit perfectly.
Then I loaded up a G40 10mm mag with 17 rounds and cycled them through this set up with only one issue.
The slide locked open with one round left in the mag.

So it will be off to the range to test this converted Beast to see how it runs.

Anyone ever done this before? If so, how did it run?
What problems should I expect?
Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Nice work and interesting gun. Those are some quite large ports in the top of the barrel.
I'm curious to see amount of flame/particles that comes out of them.

Thanks for the comments...Actually the Barrel is left that way so that I could add another Port or two.
I started with two so that I could see what was necessary to keep the gun level after recoil.
The 38 Super is a flat, fast shooting round and the ammo that I have used with the test moves at 1380fps.
Nice round for Steel Challenge, or as a hunting side arm.
The slide and barrel are both Fail-Zero finished, so that it cleans up after shooting very easily and quickly.

As far as the amount of Flame, think Race Car (Rail) on a Drag Strip. The Flame can not obly light your cigar:D but could cook a nice "T-Bone":insane:

Years ago I had a S&W performance center .357 with a ported three inch barrel.
If you held a piece of cardboard over it and fired it it would shave enough material off the jackets they would fly out and penetrate the cardboard. I sent it back to Smith. They checked it and said it was normal. So upon receiving it back I fired a model 686 6 inch ported gun and it did same thing.
Now the ports definitely worked and kept muzzle flat but I had bought the three inch gun to carry and shooting from the hip was definitely not possible as it would blow everything up into your face.

Your gun I imagine will be shot at arms length and you probably won't experience same thing.

Yep, Arms length is the way to go with the 38Super Racer.
