I was pretty impressed with the fit and finish of my first RIA so I decided to buy another one. It is an Officers model (not a true OM, because it has a bull barrel and is bushingless -which is my preference.)

Please not that I have a couple of labs and as such it is difficult to not have dog hair in my pics! :)

I have not shot it yet, and while it still represents good value is not as well fitted as my full size one. Also, the trigger on this one is heavier and exhibits a fair bit of creep, but still serviceable.

My biggest issue with the gun is the fit of the grip safety and msh. The barrel of this one exhibits a touch of sprining and the slide is not as tight as on the full size-clearanced for reliability.
Surprisingly this gun has a crowned barrel and is relieved for live shell ejection! :thumb:

Those are the only spare Officers size grips I have. I put Sarge's burl abayonys on my CCO.

the factory msh on my 5" G.I. was crooked in the frame when looking at it from the bottom. I feared the frame was out of spec, but when I replaced the msh everything looked nice. It was all in the small part.

He has DW grips on it...because factory RIA wood grips stink LOL. They stop a mile away from the edge of the frame front and back.

Congrats DB and cant waitto hear how she shoots :-)

Thank you SF.
I tried another msh and it fills the gap, but the piece at the back of the magwell is still filed thinner on one side, but no big deal.

I took it shooting today and it was reliable and acurate-all I could ask really!

I am thinking of sending it away to get spruced up.
