Because they could use an existing action. That extra 1/2 inch of action can be expensive if they have to retool or design and manufacture a whole new production line. If it sells well you may see a 3" model. All depends on the market...nanner

I bought a Henry 22lr lever action and a Henry 22lr pump for my two youngest grandsons. I guess next month I will need to pick up a third. :D

This 'Henry' lever action .410 caught my attention because my first exposure (learning) on shotguns was with a bolt action .410 that my Dad grew up on, you don't see too many of those around either.

Yep, appears to be built on the 45-70 receiver. Overall cartridge length for 45-70: 2.55"

Me too! I have the Big Boy Carbine, Octagon barrel .357 magnum.
It is a nail driver out to 50 yards! Brass Receiver and butt plate, Walnut stock, it is a Beauty! :)
