Opinions about a Colt King Cobra. Older One.

I have found an "As New" Colt King Cobra Stainless 6 inch barrel for $1899.00 at my Preferred Gun Shop. Manufactured in 1992. It's in Unfired ( Except Factory Firing) Condition. Has the Colt Medallion Pachmayer grips. This Guy WILL do some Trades! I have No Pictures, but the serial # is VC0711
Opinions? Is it worth it? No Box or paperwork, He bought several Snake Guns from an Old Guy wanting to sell his collection. Worth $1899.00?

I would say it is worth it. Its not really old enough imo to care about box or papers. Besides the factory cold historic letter is the one you want if that matters.

I think it's priced just about right.
It's worth what you want to pay for it. But, I did some research online and people are asking any where from $1,000.00 to upwards of $2,500.00.
I'm a Colt fan and collect them when possible. I managed to pick up a Python for $1,000.00 a few years a go and last year picked up a Diamondback for $500.00. I also own a Colt 1911 Government Series 70 .45 and a Colt Agent.
To me they're historical and nostalgic. I carried the Agent during my undercover days.
They're also an investment. My wife is not into guns. She't not anti-gun, jut not into them. So even if she sells all my collection for the low end of pricing after I'm gone she'll make enough to pay for burial.

So, the long and short of it is, go for it!

Thanks! I've done the same research, this one is like I said, like new! Virtually Un Fired! Looks like Factory tested only! I'm going for it! :D
BTW, The King Cobra is an upgraded Trooper Mark 5

Snake guns are on the rise. Will they drop? Not for me to decide. Doesn’t look like you would lose money. Will you lose the opportunity? How many unfired snake guns have you come across in the last 5 years? How many do you expect t to see in the next 5 years? My only question is if it is unfired, wha happened to the box and extras? Good questions! I only know this: The Dealer that has 3 Snake Guns, a Python, King Cobra & Anaconda He bought them all from an Old Guy that had them in his safe. All 3 are in same condition! Some People just throw the boxes away! I work in a Gun Shop and I can tell you, they do! Thing is: Back in 1992, who knew these would bring this kind of money now? The NEW King Cobra's are Not even as good as Ruger GP100's! And for between $800 and 900.00! Colt made a Mistake on the New Cobra's and King Cobra's! Big Time! Anyway, the Old Cobra will be mine, It's being Held for Me. :D

Some guys don't save that stuff. Example my father in law has a gun collection of probably 70+ guns, its unreal. Some stuff is nothing special but he has about 20 guns that are really nice collectors IMO. He purchased some of them new over his 70 year life and some used, not ONE box or set of papers for any gun he has. NONE....he buys them, puts them in the safe and everything else goes. I have said save the stuff, he says hell no! LOL....

Well, I Have It! It shoots Perfectly too! I have been cleaning it up & fondling it!:)
I'll take pics and post them tomorrow evening! It shot POA=POI right away! Did not have to adjust rear sight! :D

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I TOLD MY EX! 15 years after the event at the last court visit. In hind sight, things would have gone a lot smoother.

Me, if it was one I wanted and it was available... then it's worth the $$.
