This is more about the 10mm than about the Colt but anyway.
I shot my first 10mm today. Oh my God, of my God, oh my God!
Our gunsmith asked me to shoot a customer's gun he's been complaining about and wanted another opinion.
I always heard and read good things about the caliber but never had the opportunity to shoot one until today.
Did I say "Oh my God?"
I want one so baaaad! To that end it works out of a full metal framed 1911 platform.
Did I say I want one so bad? Another bucket list item!
I told the gunsmith to make an offer to the customer on my behalf. Hey! I might get lucky.

If I get a 10mm, I am not sure I'd go with a 1911. I'd be awfully tempted to get a modern day version of the Bren Ten - the EAA Witness.

Yeap. Between my recent purchases for me and my wife I'll be working in the red for most of 2021. :D

I tell you what over the last crazy year we have been working hard on getting rid of all our debt. Only spending extra liquid cash. We have been learning to be more self sufficient without utilizing credit. We have the mortgage left to pay off so we are dropping as much as we can afford to put to get rid of that. the rest now is just being more money wise. I though we were already there but we have found some other ways too.

Sort of like that Ramsey guy my wife says...not sure about his money ideas but doing our best to more stable in troubling times.

I’m a die hard 1911 guy, but my 10mm is an XD(M) 4.5 10 that I bought a couple of years ago.

It holds 15+1, shoots great, and the recoil is NBD at all. The cost was well below good 1911 prices, too.

10's rock! You have never seen an armored car following a hearse.
