I'm sure you all know where you were on April 19th, 1995 at 9:02am. I was working on phones 10 miles away, but I'll never forget the sound and smoke coming from downtown that day. Less than 20 minutes after that, my boss sent me down there. A team of us spent the next 3 weeks there, supporting ATF, FBI, US Marshals, local police, etc., and press from around the world. We were cleared to go anywhere needed, and that included all the surrounding buildings. I've never been to war but this was to me as bad as it can be.
There were 168 children and adults both civilians and military that died. A friend of mine lost his wife in the credit union, her name was Kathy Finley. She was 44 at the time of her death.
These are some pictures taken at Christmas this year from the grounds.

So, if you would please think about the victims and their families tomorrow. They're deserving of hero status.

...and may I add those that spent hours upon hours in the aftermath, searching and rescuing, and providing aid and support to the rescuers/investigators.

This day marks a very dark day in our country's history. We should never forget that our freedoms are very delicate and can be snuffed out in an instant.
