Since tomorrow is Veterans Day, being one myself I would like to say this:
This Great Country is what are Veterans got Drafted for in the 60's and 70's and then after they did away with the Draft it is what many people Volunteered for.
IMHO it takes a True Love for this country to do so.
And yes, some Joined the Military to go to College and help pay for bills, but when the time came and they were called to Active Duty they went.
Most of the members on here know in the past few years I have been in out of the VA Clinic and Hospitals here in my Local area. I have seen many young men and woman come back from Combat Action, with missing Limbs and worse, but still said they wanted to be by their friends and Comrades In Arms.......
Say what you want to me those are the Children of People that Brought them up Right.
You don't have to be a Hero to be a Vet Just be someone that fought for our Country when called to Duty.
Yes, I tease my friends on here who Are Vets, and they know who they are.
I know a couple of them that have been in Combat like me..............
So I Want To Say This:
NAVY
Air Force
Army
Marines
Coast Guard
You are all in My Prayers and Thoughts every night when I hit my Knees...........
I Salute You All........................................
