started the day out like I always do. 22's. My standard fair. Ruger MKIII with tac sol upper, and my 617. I am a bit torqued, i found a new 617 4" that would make a great companion pistol to my 617 6".. sigh, I have enough for now.

Mix of ammo there, Remington thunder bolt and that box of remington golden bullets. i did not break into the cci silver box today.

I did a round robin with the 617. working on trigger pull, getting the kinks out of me. 21 ft 1 bullet to each of the outer black targets. The center target was the first 10 shot group, warm up as it were. Repeated the round robin for 90 rounds. or 9 10 shot groups.

You can see i started at upper left and went clock wise. My eyes got tired about 1/2 way through and my groups go to hell. My right eye, my dominant one is the one that needs the most correction with my glasses. It is also right at the edge of focal length where i have about a good 1" of clarity on the front sight. The rear sights and target are a bit blurry, making for precise shooting a real challenge.

To stave off the eye strain i put a vortec sparc on my ruger. for chits and giggles fun. 50 ft group, two handed grip.

moving on to the smith 627 8 shot 357. Again more trigger control work. I found i had picked up a bad habit of not squeezing smoothly and equally each time. so, just a bit of work to iron out the kinks.

Round robin again starting from the W to the N E and S positions. Finally the center. 21 feet or so, 2 handed grip shooting lead SWC. Double action of course. First shot on the West is the low one. You can see why i thought i needed to work on it.

The new to me p226, that i posted up yesterday. 1988, well kept sans the few dings. Nice pistol Snagged it before the shop had even put it into their computer. They were planning on sticking it as a range gun. gack.
First time shooting this p226 honestly. It has to be one of the better shooting 9mm's i have owned. The DA trigger is as long as clyde is old. It is smooth though, so no clyde comparison there. :D. The SA lets off in the same place. There is no comparison to modern day sigs. Far superior. Round robin again. 5 shots loaded into the mag (it came with two zipper backs) to check functionality. W,N,E,S,W for the first 5 rounds. You can see my trigger finger is not as used to it as my other pistols.

The center i shot with the 2nd 2 shot strings. Bring up, aim, fire DA, fireSA, down decock, rinse and repeat. Put 30 rounds in the center, and 20 to the head doing the same thing.
