Well, it is home after being at the gunsmith for eons. It was mainly a cosmetic refurb. He did minor work on slide to frame fit, which is fantastic now, and made the trigger so smooth it rivals my CQB.

The pistol started of as a totally stainless piece. The frame is cast and had some machining marks on it. There were also some scrapes and marks near the front sight post, as well as on the flats of the slide. The frame was originally to be sent for atranite treatment, but wound up being Duracoat. He bead blasted the entire slide, taking away the polished flats, fixed the area at the front sight post, removed all machining marks from the frame, duracoated the frame, bead blasted all the small parts (replaced with a combo of STI, Wilson, and Colt), changed out the trigger, performed a trigger job on it, and installed a FO front sight.

The grips, as some of you know, are where I need to figure out what's next. The ones on it actually go very well with the bead blasted areas. Some very nice wood may be in order, though, I'll just have to make up my mind.

All in all, I am VERY pleased with the way it turned out. The FO front sights was something I was unsure of, but I actually love it.

Fine looking pistol, larry. I like seeing the pictures of the "Old Faithfuls" that guys send off to get freshened up.

ETA- I lower cased your name like Noel did because I don't know if you actually are a booger eater or not.
