I've shot one real nice pistola and the guy hasn't had any issues with it. Just sent it to his dad, because he got a Wesson.

I'll vote the other way, almost. I love Springfields, just don't care much for SS 1911's. I'm a sucker for parkerized.

Any Springfield Loaded Model is the best dollar for dollar 1911 value that exists. When I buy I include cost, slide/frame machining, and customer service as top assets. I have a safe full of them. My one "problem" Springfield 1911.....an 1991 year Champion, had the frame cut too deep when the pistol was manufactured. I bought it in 2012. Springfield paid the shipping, diagnosed it(as did Dave), and replaced the slide with a brand new one for free. Customer service counts for everything now, and Springfield wins that race by a mile......Buy it.....but it is stainless, if scratches make you cry buy handkerchiefs also.

Pros or Cons?

Sorry, I've got 2 RO's and love them. Have to admit I don't care for S/S however. But an RO is an RO, go for it.

I would by the RO in a heartbeat. I've heard nothing but praises for it and I personally love the looks of it.

Question for those in the know, the RO is comparable to what kind of 1911 in Springfield's line up of 1911s? Champion, Mil-Spec, Loaded, TRP?

The RO is a Loaded model. Very popular 1911. I don't own one but realistically dozens of my Springfields are equal but with different looks. But they do come with adjustable target sights. Combat sights only for me, the target sights can snag clothing while drawing.
