Customer came into my store today and brought his Detonics Combat Master to show me. S/N was 33**... (original Detonics)
The little piece was more like a war club than gun. Very heavy for a small pistol.
Sorry, no photos.. Just wanted to share.

I wonder why they scalloped the back of the slide and mounted the rear sight so far forward on them.

Saw one at my LGS a month ago. One of the original Bellevue ones. $650 and it looked and felt different from most guns.
Lonestar grips.

how different in size is it compared to an officers model? frame looks a lot shorter.

It is shorter than the Colt Commander. The barrel is either 3 or 3.5", not quite sure which. The rear sight being set forward on the slide makes it look even shorter, but I believe OAL is 6.75"
The biggest difference I noticed is the grip length. Holds 6 rnd mags. I have medium size hands and could barely get 3 fingers on it.
Despite it's compact size it is a heavy little beast. All steel.

The video is correct. Mine's a neat little shooter, but I couldn't do the carry method they designed with one under the hammer.
Good enough for Sonny Crockett, good enough for me.

I own one. I didn't feel like taking another picture. So here it is with my Colt. I carried it for work for a little bit.

I'm not a fan of S&W autos (my fav revos, though) and never felt the need for a 10mm.

I agree on S&W, but wouldn't mind a 10.

When I have every .45 I could ever want ... I might consider a Delta Elite :D

645's a great shooter and the Bren Ten is unfired. Actually, Johnson used a .45 Bren Ten because they didn't make 10mm blanks.
