Off the top of my head:

Sent Arnel the following parts:

1. EB beavertail
2. Smith and Alexander main spring housing/magwell
3. Fusion disco, sear, sear spring, msh spring
4. I used the new Wilson Hammer, Concealment, Bullet Proof
5. Wilson extended slide stop
6. Kimber ambi thumb safety
7. Grips I purchased off the 1911 forum
8. Wilson 3 hole trigger
9. Fusion ejector and extractor

Arnel will be checkering the front strap to 20 lpi this will match the S&A magwell. He is also blending all of the parts. Frame, slide, barrel, guide rod, and spring by Rock island. The slide will have the standard LPA rear adjustable sight and a FO front sight.

I still have not finished my Hi Cap Long Slide so I am thinking of refinishing both this new LS and the Hi Cap in hard chrome from Metaloy (http://www.originalmetaloy.com/).

What do you guys think?

If I purchased a LS every month I will never catch-up with AutoMag and Ole Lefty. :( :)

I was not aware that they provide such service using other manufacturer parts. If you do not mine me asking you what do they charge for that service.

You really need to call Arnel and speek with him on pricing.

To tell you the truth I don't even know what he is going to charge me.

Well after a long wait my long slide is finally done.

Here is a teaser pic

I would have had it sooner but I misunderstood Arnel on when it would be completed.

It is being shipped this week and if all goes well I will have it in hand next week.

I post better pic's once I have it.

Thanks Guys.

Arnel told me that he showed Martin, the owner of Advance Tactical, the LS and he loved it.

I have some other pic's that Arnel sent me but I am having trouble posting them. If I get them converted I post them.

Well I sent my 2 Longslides off to ALCHEMY CUSTOM WEAPONRY for final fitting and finish.

I am going with Black T on the single stack Longslide and Chrome with black controls on the double stack Longslide.

Ron over there at ACW is really easy guy to work with and I am happy that I sent the guns to him.

Just have to wait a couple months for the guns to get back to me.

Hi Mike,

I am watching your longslide with great interest.

After I get my Commander back from the Colt Custom Shop in February (3 months overdue), I will start on my Fusion Long Slide. From what I have read about the 10mm, I think that it would be a good idea to get a firing pin stop plate. After disassembling, cleaning and reassembling the pistol, I learned that I would like the 2 piece guide rod replaced with a one piece. I also want to replace the ambidextrous safety with a right handed safety. Right now, I am thinking new grips, Magna-Port and Metaloy, but nothing is carved in stone yet. Ah, the joy of pistol projects. EllisonEllisonEllison
Anyway, good luck with your RIA Longslide. I look forward to seeing the finished product. It should be outstanding.

Merry Christmas.:D

Thanks guys.

MajO funny you should mention 10mm, I am seriously thinking of having ACW make me a 10mm Longslide with a receiver/slide from Caspian.

I would not be until later in 2012.
