Very Nice I think you need to talk Zane into making some Custom Grips for your Ruger Twins......................:D

it's on my list of grip styles to make, along with something nice for my S&W 629.

When our department transitioned to autos, we were allowed to buy our stainless Security Sixes. Still got mine with the F.P.D. stamped on it.

Thanks, but they're both Rugers. :) Only 2/3 of a collection. Still need to find the Service Six model in the same size. The hunt continues...

Lol...oops, too much rum last night!

Good luck in your search, if I see one I will let you know.

Yes, but only if you feed it and clean up after it.

Nice collection. Good luck on your search for the Service Six.

Well I've got good news... and I've got bad news.....

you'll need two more "six's" to add to your collection!!!!!

prior to '75 the Security Six was a square butt, low back frame
they didn't have a "speed" or"police/service" name on them they just had fixed or adj. sights, (I have a 2-3/4" fixed sight and have been searching for a 4" fixed for a while). Ruger did this for 2 years.
I personally like the look of the older design better, but with the original wood the recoil rolls the revolver up in your hand with .357 loads.

Good luck on your search ..... if you run across a extra 4" let me know

I'll have to find the orig. wood grips, I'll add a picture when I do........

Almost ..... that's a nice 4" but it was post '74
I'm specifically looking for the match to my 2-3/4" Security Six
I don't think they were making stainless back then???
oh oh ..... now I have to see if I need more for my collection.....
