On Saturday after the match, the SGM and I went to the Castillo di San Marco to survey the scene of the real Siege of St Augustine in 1740

The Siege of St. Augustine was a military engagement that took place during June - July 1740. It was a part of the much larger conflict known as the War of Jenkins' Ear, between Great Britain and Spain.

it was very interesting and highly recommended by both the SGM and me.

Great pics. My honeymoon was in St Augustine, and we go back every couple of years. Love the place.

Greek food at Café Athena ... crab cake sammiches at the Florida Cracker Café ... great, now I'm hungry.
