Solid oak display/loading stand
Some people like the clip to hold the barrel, some don't so I have this as an option:

When I drill holes I plug them for a smooth, clean appearance.

I wanted a display stand for my single action revolvers that didn't have thos unsightly cradles. So I made this:

This stand will also support the largest pistols such as a Desert Eagle or Automag.

Dave, I'd like to have that dissasembly stand. If you'll give me the total price I'll send you a money order tomorrow after work. Thanks, Mike

Dave,
What keeps the pistol up? It appears to defy gravity.

I was wondering the same thing. I guess you drill a hole in the bottom of it. LOL

What holds the grips on, super glue?

As Jack O'Neill would say: "Magnets."
There is a rare earth magnet inset in the wood under the butt of the revolver.
I sent one to someone at Colt. I was told everyone there thought it was pretty cool.

Glue? Yeah, glue, that's it.
Actually there is a piece of wood glued to each side inside the grip frame.

Here's my new disassembly stand.
This is a prototype made of delrin. It should be a lot easier to keep clean.

Nice. Have you used the stand? Did it work as advertised?

I never have used it, it sits on top of my safe:) I guess old habits die hard, I still take down my pistols at the kitchen table or in my lap. It's a nice stand though. Mike

I guess I need to post that Dave passed away a few months ago. Just in case any of the new members try to get in touch about the stands.
Rest in Peace my friend!!!
