I always liked the Kershaw tactical blur series. I owned three of them. Several things I liked about them, one, spring assisted, two, sharpness (cut myself several times, and the third was their textured grip. They come with serrated and non serrated blades.
It's my EDC for my dominant side.
Good quality knives for the money. Won't break the bank.

I'm going to have to agree with the rest and suggest the Kershaw Blur line. I have the Tanto Blur (as does pig) and it sharpens up real nicely and the serrations sharpen just as easily. They do the Blur in Tanto and a drop point as well, and it's not too pricey.

I had one of these and liked it. Sometimes you can find them cheap on ebay and I liked the black blade option.

I sliced my finger good with that knife. Lost it in my messy house some place. I'm currently carrying the smaller Spyderco Cat. I wanted to get a Sage but they are more than I like to spend on a knife.

I will throw out SOG flash II..they are fantastic!
Kershaw gets my vote. For a smaller knife I like the leek. For a bigger knife I like the blur.

By pocket knife you mean it folds? Or just can fit in a pocket?

came late to the suggestion pool... so you are already set...:D unless you change your mind and order some more...juts to compare??? What's wrong with a Spyderco endura 4. Locks back nicely, quick deployment, keeps nice edge, and can serve as utility as well as anything else.
