44 magnum check pictures .....ammo from China

First it was baby formula, then pet food, but now you should watch out when buying anything from China , including bright, shiny ammunition.

A guy came into the police department the other day to ask a favor. He had a S&W 629 (.44 Mag) that he wanted to dispose of after a mishap at the range.

He said there was a loud bang when he tested his new ammo (Chinese made), and the gun smacked him in the forehead, leaving a nice gash.

When the tweety birds cleared from around his head, the pictures show what he saw.

Bet he never uses Chinese made ammo again!

Looks like when the round in the chamber went off, It also set off at least two other rounds in adjacent cylinders.

I would have hated to been the one that pulled the trigger on that one!

You would have to be nuts to use cheap Chicom ammo.

Keep buying from them folks, they need you to fund the completion of their first aircraft carrier.

It is unfortunate that shooting cost money. I care about my guns and my body enough not to buy chicom ammo. Reminds me of a guy that shoots a $30,000 shotgun and complains when the price of ammo goes up $.25 a box.

I don't knowingly buy anything from China. I won't use Russian ammo either (Wolf). There are those out there who will buy what they can afford, usually on-line deals. I only posted this to give a heads up as to what can/has happened with junk ammo. Buyer beware!

There are quite a few salvageable parts still there and if the top of the frame wasn't blown off it might be fixable.
Wouldn't this ammo count as factory ammo in case he did send it back to Smith?

This applies to everything besides ammo in my little world! Too many people fought for our country to buy "foregn" things!

If they have quality control in their shipyards like they do at their ammo factories, we have little to fear..it won't float
