THE WESTERN 3 GUN, MALABAR FLORIDA

Yep, we had the Western 3 gun at the Palm Bay R & P Club, located in Malabar, Florida.
The day was as perfect as it could be, temp about 69, sunny and clear.
We started out with the 45 or so shooters listing to the rules of the game.
6 stages were set up the night before and this was the first undertaking of this club in a Western 3 gun..
As CAS shooters, we use 2 handguns, 1 Lever action rifle and 1 shot gun (Double, 97 Pump or 87 Lever action are allowed)
All stages were handguns loaded with 5 rounds each, 10 rds in the rifle and shotgun with 2 rounds (double can have 2 rds. in with action open or 97'87 can have pump/leaver closed hammer down and 2 rds loaded) after the first 2 rds. the shooter ten follows up with 2 or more rounds as needed)
The stages had both fixed and knock down targets with white centers. any hit in the white countered as a 1 sec bonus that was subtracted from the total time pf that stage with a max of 20 BP.
This was a no alibi match and once the buzzer went off you were off and shooting (some of us do not run to fast anymore)
Unlike a normal CAS shoot, there were no procedures except that on some stages the shape of the target dictated the amount of shots (sure try to remember how many go on what shape )
My club the Okeechobee Marshals were well represented and in fact we just abut cleaned up........... (WarrDogg was over all winner, Kid Celero took 1st place in the 49er .....Doc J Hucklebury 1st place in Senior Duelist and your poster Redstone Rider took 1st place in Silver Senior Duelist).
