Found this at my LGS for a reasonable price. Come to find out it's a very early model, manufactured in November 1995. The company premiered their guns at the 1994 Shot Show and started shipping in March of 1995. It is all carbon steel rather than stainless. I guess they transitioned from carbon steel to stainless on either slide or frame then all stainless currently. It has contrast bar-dot sights. Interestingly, Kahr is sponsoring a "long-range" shooting contest where people shoot Kahr pistols at distances greater than 100 yards. It's actually pretty impressive for a small handgun.

I've been looking at Kahr for a while. I have to admit, I was further enamored with them after watching "The Brave One" with Jodie Foster, especially the K9. I just never found one for the right price considering I'm not one for 9mm single stack guns. I was fine carrying a P239 or P229, each in .357sig.

However, I bought the gun, took it to the range on Christmas Eve (my birthday) and spend some time with it. I was only able to shoot at 10 yards due to the weather (snow and the range is a mess, backstops are disintegrated and not repaired during the winter).

When paying attention, I was able to do quarter or less sized groups of five. The trigger while a bit long is "butter smooth" and even. Recoil is so minimal to unnoticeable and the gun really, really fits my hand. In that way it's similar to another compact I really, really like, my Sphinx AT 2000P which is also in 9mm.

I guess if the FBI is going to 9mm, I could too. It's a workhorse and has seen some honest wear, but is in good shape.

I'm not sure if this is the cowhide with horsehide trim or all horsehide. It seems pretty thick and stiff. I'm thinking horsehide. Don't know if it is a #2 or #3. At any rate, bought it slightly used.

Thanks! The gun is a real workhorse and in better shape than others of I've seen of the same vintage, so I'm satisfied with it.

I recently received this holster. I bought it from a forum member off another forum. The holster feels and looks all but new.

It's an "City Slicker" by Ryan G. It's thinner than the Kramer and spreads the weight of the gun out. It's very stable and easy to put on.
