Sweet! I've resolved to add only two guns in 2015. One will be a Glock 19 and the other might just be a bolt action rifle!

Good luck with it Chief! Nice lookin' rifle. Never liked the M-16, got a lotta guys killed in Nam til' they worked out the bugs. Been doing a lot of reading lately and it looks like an easy build so I've been contemplating building an AR. Debating whether to go with 5.56 or the 7.62. Thoughts???

5.56 is cheaper to shoot but the 7.62 is much more deadly. That is on my late 2015 to do list Herb. The build is easy just time and patience.

Roger that. The 5.56 I can get for zip at the in-service sessions, but I do like the 7.62

Depends on the build. What's it for?

Congrats chief. Have you ever thought of getting guns that you already have brass for???

Nice find. I'm not even remotely familiar with that caliber. Hunting caliber I suppose right? Enjoy

It was a wildcat round that became so popular in it's time that it was offered in both "factory ammo" and production rifles chambered for the round.

Reloading dies in .257 Roberts are still available, and I'll bet that Starline makes brass in the caliber too.

Congrats chief. Have you ever thought of getting guns that you already have brass for???What's the fun in that? The thrill of the component hunt is part of the fun in reloading a new caliber.

Congrats on the new acquisition Clyde!

Dunno, just got the itch to build one. I do favor the 7.62 though.
