After all these years, I finally tried a Springfield.

Never would buy one before when they were putting the ILS in their guns. But now that they came to their senses and ditched the ILS, I bought one. Boy am I surprised! This is the tightest fit gun I've seen in a long time, to be rivaled by $1300 and $1400 guns! I'm not crazy about the finish, but I'll do a refinish at some point. I went with the Range Officer Operator 9mm. It's such a sweet shooter! Recoil feels more like a handshake than anything else. Very happy with this decision.

I like too...but needs grips :)

I threw some VZ grips on it that I had laying around. I don't care for the factory grips because there's too much advertising on them. I'm thinking a nice set of satin finish desert ironwood grips would look great on this gun. Nothing too flashy because it's really a more "all-business" looking gun.

NIce. I have a GI model 45 cal and the Loaded 45 cal. The Loaded is as you say, extremely tight. Nice guns to shoot. Good luck with yours.
