.38 Wad Cutters were police loads for a a while. Also match ammo. I seem to recall reading the rounded bullet was glancing off glass and sheet metal but the wad cutters hit flat. They may also have some more compression in there for a little more punch. I only wonder about that rim scraping along the next round in the magazine. Could it possibly result in a feed issue? Maybe getting hung up on the rim of the round below it? If I recall correctly Magnum Research made a .357 Desert Eagle but maybe it was .357 Sig?
