My latest CC pistol
 

Just got this a couple of weeks ago. Had been looking for another commander sized 1911. hadn't been looking for a bull barrel but that's what I wound up with. I've been to the range a couple of times so far and it's been flawless.

Nice!! I worked on one a long while back for a friend that was needing a spring kit but it was a super nice pistol for certain.

I don't find them to be slippery, but I have fairly large hands that really wrap around a single stack grip so I probably wouldn't even notice any slipperyness, not sure that's really a word:)

My other commander size also has smooth grips, here is a pic of both of them: The ones on the bottom are from Lone Star Grips, the top one is from Altamont company

As to slipperiness a bit of skate board or stair tread tape solves that. My 2xl mitts approve.
