Chief has sent me two very good manuals. The level of detail in parts and names is excellent. :)

But this is designed to help you get it a part and back together spacifically.

After a week and a half of basically no firearm access, I'll be trearing my 1911s down after I get home.

I plan to use the How I Did It documents.

Yeah, it's not tough. But the diagrams make it a lot easier. :)

I took that "BIG STEP" last night and stripped mine, It was a lot easier then i thought,with the help of Clyde (moral support) and Dave Waits who made sure i had done the safety checks, and the link Noel posted made it less stressful.
