Dan Wesson Titan 10mm frame

I was a bit surprised to see that the Titan, in fact the entire Elite series (now discontinued) all had cast carbon frames.

I know there is a "discussion" about cast or forged, but most of the most elite manufacturers used forged frames and advertise them as such. They apparently consider this a plus or are perhaps just sensitive the fact that many, if not most, 1911 buyers consider it a must.

At any rate, given these guns are in the 3500 to 4500 price range, I was really surprised.

Nothing Wrong with Good Investment Cast Frames

Thanks

I have heard that, that there is really not a difference or that much of a difference with a GOOD investment cast frame.

Emphasis on the word "GOOD"

Ruger has it down to a fine art. Not everyone else does.
