Damn, the computer screen got all blurry. They had a Vietnam Memorial dedication locally a few years back. All the Vietnam veterans present were asked to stand in line behind the flag of their respective service branch. They marched us down to the Memorial and the spectators lined up along the way, clapped and some welcomed us home. It was great, and the tears were streaming down the faces of almost all the vets who were marching to that Memorial. For a while, todays Vets were being welcomed with respect and honor, but things are going the way of what us Vietnam vets came home to. The pendulum is swinging back the other way.
