Default Still Waiting ...

When I bought my first Dan Wesson 1911 (about five years ago) it changed my life, up until that point I had owned 1911s made by S&W, Sig, Colt, Para, Remington, SA and Kimber. It seemed like I had spent thirty-five years trying to find that one 1911 manufacturer that was going to steal my heart. Somewhere around the eighteenth or nineteenth 1911 I brought home was a Dan Wesson RZ-10. OMG! Today I no longer own that RZ-10, but I do own five 1911s and every one of them is a Dan Wesson. I will put my PTE-S up against any other manufacturer's 1911 in .45 ACP. The only gun I have ever owned that could touch it was my S&W 25-3 6" and it doesn't really count. I have owned Colt and Kimber 10mm along with a custom 10mm built on a Caspian frame, the RZ-10 was my 10mm of choice until I brought home a stray PM7-10 one day. OMG Again!

Today I have my PTE-S and my PM7-10 they are my range guns, and I have my ECOs in 9mm and .45 ACP along with my CCO they are my business guns. But I am still waiting for that one Dan Wesson 1911 that will put me at the half dozen mark ... that would be a DW version of Colt's Lightweight Government Model. Take a Valor top end in black, mate it to a Guardian bottom end in black and I will spring for a sixth DW 1911. You see, I don't need another heavy weight 5" 45, already have what I consider the best ever made. What I don't have is a lightweight 5" 45 ... I WANT ONE!
