Default Gold Coast Gunslingers 09-01-12

Howdy Pard's
Yesterday, we had our monthly SASS club match, but before I get into the specifics, I would like to take a minute and ask you all to reflect and say a prayer for one of our (Gunslingers's) members that passed away last week.
Some of you in the that have participated in SASS action, might know Jim a.k.a Buffalo Brady & his company BuffaloBradyLeather.com is no longer with us.
His wife sent the note:
After a courageous, but way too brief, battle with renal cell cancer Jim went home to be with our Lord on Friday, August 24th.

God Speed JIM:

Well, on to Saturdays match,

It was a long week of work in Miami Florida (some photos laster for your viewing enjoyment).
The rain stopped and we dried out by Friday (had 15" of water out side of the house) and when that happens the temps went back up to the high 90's.
We loaded the water coolers with 6 cases of water and started the match.
My goal on Saturday was 1) stay awake and 2) to test out my 45ACP BirdsHead and my Colt 45LC that had come back from being tuned.
I had a good day, scores not bad, but I was more interested in how the guns would handle.
I found out that you can not have guns with different size hammers , so the hammer on my Colt 45 will be changed to a low profile hammer.

I am posting a little long video from yesterday's shooting..It runs about 5 min, and has a few different shooters in it...It starts with your poster on stage 2 and finishes with your poster on stage 5.

So sit back, pick up the beverage of your choice, enlarge the video to full screen and enjoy!

So keep shooting, stay safe and until next time
Ye Ha!
Gary

We grieve the loss of one of our shooting fraternity. Each loss is a soul that can't be replaced. I'll lift up prayers for the family and his friends.
