Default KZ-45 Range Report.

A few days ago the KZ-45 by Wilson Combat was mentioned and I promised to do a range report on mine. It is a 1911 style handgun with a polymer frame. It utilizes double stacked magazines which hold 10 rounds.
I've had it for over ten years now and carried it for a short period. When I first got it worked flawlessly. Didn't have to go through a break in period. It shot and still shoots everything I put through it, including our duty ammo which was Federal 230 grain Hydro-shoks.

7 yard (21 ft.) grouping.

10 yard (30 ft.) grouping.

Grip as about the same to my Glock 19 in width and thickness, but as you can see the back strap is beveled around both edges giving it a more slimmer feel. It does not give you that blockish feel that Glock does.

When I took it to the range I was asked if I would sell it. Nope!
If there's any negative is that you grip queens can't put custom grips on it.

How does the balance compare to a typical 1911?

The same. Very well balanced. Feels like shooting any standard 1911. Obviously total weight is going to be more since it carries more rounds, but I didn't have a scale.
Also, I forgot to mention the trigger breaks at about a crisp 3.5 lbs which is what you would expect of a Wilson Combat pistol.
