Default Where is all

the ammo?!? I can't find anything anywhere locally and internet prices seem ridiculous. Is this just fear leading to hoarding or is something else going on? I've heard the conspiracy stories; anybody have any facts?

Not sure where one would derive facts from, but I'm 99% sure that this is caused by the panic that the current administration set off by furthering the gun control initiative. It's a matter of supply and demand. Right now there is a huge demand for everything from the weapons themselves to the ammo to reloading supplies. Manufacturers are running seven days a week in some cases, but they still can't keep up. When you order online, most merchandise won't even ship for a couple of weeks even if it's in stock. Don't expect this craziness to settle down before the end of summer.

Hang in there and good luck with your ammo! BTW, what are you looking for?

Try this......

http://www.gunbot.net/index.php?cal=223556

Updates every 60 seconds. Best prices if you can call them that for .45 is still .50 per round

Default Makes sense

This would make sense. a "Defacto" Ban. Guns can't be taken, do dry up the ammo supply.

Supply in CT seems to be improving somewhat. There has consistently been some availability in .380 and .40 S&W. .223 is starting to be available again, as well as .45 ACP, but pricing is not very good.

A little off topic, but I have seen some $40 PMags recently as well.

Thank God I reload and got into a good supply of .22 lr (which is also starting to reappear)

So perhaps its a bit of both; govt and private hoarding. I hope it ends soon.

went to the range today and bought a box of 45 and 2 of 9mm(their last two boxes). Shot 20 rounds of 45 and a couple mags of my own stock of 9mm (30 rounds). Then loaded 5 rounds out of the boxes I bought at the range for a target shoot. Shot the 5 rounds for the competition, an then left with 95 rounds in the boxes and 30 in the box of 45.

You know we are in dire straights when you can't find any .22 ammo!
In my Life, I haven't seen .22 ammo dry up like this. What's up with that?

for a while there was nothing but shotgun shells at the nearest walmart, now there's a few deer calibers showing up but still no pistol ammo or 22's
