The first 1911 I ever bought, back in the 90's, was a Kimber Custom. Honestly, I wish I still had that gun today - it's the only one I regret parting with.

My Eclipse Custom II is a thing of beauty and what's more; it was built on a rather significant birthday so it's a keeper. That said, I really like my new RIA, so far it's just a good, solid 'Everyman's 1911' ... I dare say I might even have more pride in ownership of it

Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on this forum, You need me on this forum.

We use words like Kimber, Rocks and Springer. ..we use these words because they mean something to us. You use 'em as a punchline.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who reads the jokes and stories that I provide, then mocks me and says he'll make me disappear! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way......otherwise I don't give a darn what you think you'll do to me!
