Cool I got a long gun finally!!!! WOO HOO

Yes folks, I finally became a long gun owner. Long story short, a friend was in a pinch and needed to dump a few guns quick. This AR 10 shown below caught my attention.

Having only familiarized myself with the AR-15 in the Army (we tanker's carry pistols ) and only shooting one once in the past 20 years, I don't really know anything about the AR platform, other than it can be modded to your hearts content. I did consult a few bud's prior to purchase and they said buy it, even before I had a chance to see it.

Here's what I know about it:

Aero Precision Lower - M5, multi caliber
Upper and BCG is unknown, but I'm guessing it's also from AP, at least the upper, but seriously...I have no idea and he can't remember either.
STR butt stock
16" barrel - maker unknown
Zeiss Terra 3x scope, I didn't measure it yet, but I'm guessing it's the 4-12x42 model
Leupold Mark 2 scope mount

Oh, a 360' swivel bi-pod and a 10/30 round mag also come with it, he just didn't have them with him tonight.

Low round count.

Everything feels tight with no slop or play anywhere. My neighbor says I'm one lucky azz bastahd

I did a quick google search of the products that I was able to identify and guestimated the others, rough estimate puts the value at around $1500 or so if I bought the stuff new.

What'd I give for it???? I paid $600 for it.

Did I do good or what?

Now to get some mags & ammo and learn how to shoot this beast!

Thanks for looking.

Is that a BULLET BUTTON I see installed? I've never really seen on installed before. But it must be, because I don't think you can purchase an evil looking weapon of mass destruction like this in California. Nice looking gun tho. Congratulations! Especially at the price!

you did great. I know another clueless guy who dumped 4 FOUR times that for about the same thing with a couple more do-dads. pic to follow for effect. I am going to go choke myself now.

I was delirious from dehydration and food poisoning or just nuts as usual....I think you are one lucky guy in a whole lot of ways including this find.. Good on you my friend. Sellers picture... I did not buy the body armor or the vest. I haven't even figured out how it works or what it is for in my life...but then - most toys wins, right?
