Default Colt Custom Carry LW Cmdr

I've been eyeing this one for some time on Dave Severns' page. I finally decided to get it.

This is a light weight commander version. I have an all SS Commander and the difference is notable. It is chambered in 38 super. This makes 3 of these for me and it is really challenging 45acp as my favorite round.. I had the opportunity to run 7 rounds through it and it had no problems. I hated the stock grips... the checkering appeared to be sprayed on...I could barely discern it. So I put some grips on it I had on the shelf. No better for gripping but much more stylish. I'll get some good workiing grips for it. Anyway, if the first 7 rounds were any indication, this one will be a keeper.

Colonel, that is one... nice... gat!

I know you're gonna enjoy it.

I'm a little conflicted on the comment about 38 Super challenging 45, though. Actually, I'm a lot conflicted if you're talking about a carry pistol.

Favorite as in fun to shoot. Not just in terminal performance. I still carry my CCO in 45acp
