Default New EDC Folder

This is my new EDC folder and it is becoming one of my favorites to carry (I have only had it 3 days!). It's an Emerson designed but, built by Kershaw CQC-4K. Came out of box sharp as hell and quality control is spot on for a $30 folder. I recommend it to anyone looking at a new EDC folder!

Great post for me, . I have been dragging around a Chinese USMC labeled brick that after a hour or two feels like a weight lifting device trying to pants me. I went shopping (lap shopping). I found it available in several places and connected with the identical twin of yours on an Ebay listing for a cutlery supply company and snagged one at the magic price. Most of the folks, retail and wholesale and auction had the model but with a different darker scale. I like yours because it will show me instantly when it bites me. and it is handsome in form and function the spirit of nice tools. Thanks for the great tip. Dennis

Dennis, I got mine from ebay as well. I usually look for the cheapest price with free shipping.

I think you will like it. It's lightweight but, solid. The blade comes razor sharp and the spear point is sharp as well. The blade will be a bit stiff to deploy at first. I usually loosen the pivot screw and then tighten it up till the blade has no side to side movement when deployed. At the same time, the deployment is smoother. I will deploy the blade a thousand times during the day with new folders just to break it in. Once the blade breaks in, I will slightly tighten the pivot screw a bit to remove any side to side movement after breakin.

If you are in need of a really light great blade, let me know.......I can send you one of my top three favorites of all time. It is also a Kershaw.

That's cool, how they put your picture on the clip.

That is a very nice offer but this little guy is perfect for me. What I could really use is tips on how to carry and deploy quickly. I really have never carried a blade except when hunting or fishing or in the woods and they were always fixed blades. I am not sure how to utilize the clip to carry and get it into action in self defense. I will be prowling the internet for manuals or self defense books. Again, thanks. I am pretty fumble fingered with the ones I have now and not getting much better.
