Default Renaissance Wax

Renaissance Wax:

Any of you familiar with it - use it (wood / metal) on your weapons of choice, I have yet to try it, and, I’ve seen it cheaper elsewhere but I figured I ask for your thoughts/feedback/experiences with it if you’ve used it.

A gun is a tool, no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.

YES...used to be able to get it locally really cheap but have not used it in a while now. Works great on SS. Little goes a long way and easy pressure when using. Good stuff though. Wish I could still get it at my LBS.

I think I could get a tin for about $20 but its been a while and don't remember size either.

I use it on all of my guns, including hand guns, grips on both front and back, even on the frames under the grips. A little goes a long way. The best buy I have found is Amazon.com. A paste, 7 fl. oz. in an Aluminum can for about $14.00. Apply with a finger with rubbing motion, it will dry quickly and can be buffed with a soft cloth. No rust, no finger prints and no mess. I have been advised it is difficult to remove. Perfect, I want it there to protect my finish. It is the purpose of the wax in addition to nice appearance. I wipe any oil off before application of the wax. Nice product. Mfg. in England, I have been using for years. Museums, etc. use Ren Wax to protect everything. I have no connect with Ren Wax or Amazon and I have no pony in this race.

I use it on knives mostly, but have used it on exterior SS and my cowboy guns. seems to work well.

The biggest pain in the a** you'll probably ever have to deal with watches you from the mirror every morning.

I've been using it for several years and have been happy so far. I primarily use it on my older blued firearms.

All positive feedback, I think I'll give it a try. Thanks Gents.
