L.A. Police Gear pants
Folks
I took a chance and bought a couple pairs of their urban operator pants. Velcro on pockets, extra mag pocket, ripstop fabric. Twenty bucks! I'm very impressed. I always like the cargo pockets to carry ID/wallet and use the upper pocket for other stuff. They have big ass leg pockets with the Velcro enclosure, fit a BUG or lots of stuff. I just ordered 5 more pairs or the next step up, 22.99 version with some elastic in the waistband etc. I've searched for decent cargo/tactical pants for a while now and think I hit the mother lode. They are lightweight, comfortable and the waistband perfect for IWB carry. FYI!! |

I think this was the brand that was on sale several months back. I got 3 pair at that time. Very nice for very cheap.

I was wrong. The previous deal was for Blackhawk pants.

I've been using Propper pants and shorts for quite awhile, will have to check out how they are price wise compared to these.
http://tacticalgear.com/propper-ligh...-pants-khaki~1 Edit: Just looked at the link, with the sale price these certainly do look good, to bad I don't need any right now, but then again, maybe I do. Last edited by flphotog; 11-22-2015 at 03:58 PM. |

UPDATE: I order a couple pair of these last week and they arrived today. Nice buy for less than $20/pair. They do run a bit long in the leg, but otherwise fit perfectly.
I normally wear 511s or "Red Head Cimarron" cargos from Bass Pro when I'm out in the shop. The 511s are great but I don't like the rear pockets because of the velcro that takes a pry bar to open and the depth. When driving, it puts my wallet about 2/3 the way up the back of my thigh, right where you don't want your wallet to be. The Red Heads are the most comfortable, but they're nearly as pricey as the 511s. These LAPG pants have a normal sized, no-velcro back pockets right where they should be. The front pockets are angled and nice and deep, and the cargo pockets have enough velcro to keep them closed but not enough to need prying open. The position on the leg is great too, and the knee section is reinforced. The pants are also nice and light, which will be big improvement over the Red Heads in the summer months. The small slit pocket is on the left, wish it was on the right, but no deal killer there. Thanks again for the tip on these, Shark. Great deal I'd say. Two of these plus shipping for the same price as one pair of 511s.
