Default Professor Condoleeza Rice on the 2A

Condy Rice's opine on the Second Amendment. Apparently... the USA "needs to consider second amendment's place in the modern world." She was in the Bush Administration. Really.

When the 2A was written, the West had fairly recently emerged from the nasty, brutish middle ages into The Enlightenment. They knew a thing or two about violent thuggery. We’re probably more peaceful today overall than we were back then.

Perhaps. but I think our Founding Fathers knew that Tyranny could rear its ugly head in the future, and that "We the People" had to have a defense against it.

Why can't these ding bats get it through their thick brainless heads that the AR15 is not and never has been a military weapon.

Because it doesn't serve their political agenda to do so. The more they can convince the sheeples that an AR-15 is an "assault rifle," the more they can convince them that it should be banned.

I do understand that, just venting a bit, because every time I hear "assault rife" from the media and/or anti gun ding bat I want to scream.
