Default There She Was!

Hanging on the back wall of my favorite gun shop! A Springfield M1A Loaded. I picked it up and caressed it like a long lost love. My mind was flooded with memories of the M-14 that was my T/O weapon in the Marine Corps. Strange how a man can love a hunk of steel and wood, a cold inanimate object. I had to have it! I bought it. Ironic that this should happen on Veterans Day, 11/11/11. (Hey, I needed to buy myself a birthday present anyway)

I'll have to break out the digital camera, but first I have to clean her up from the factory coatings.

Okay here's what I was able to get photos of. I'm no professional and I don't have lenses for my pocket camera. Haven't taken her out to the range yet. I'm trying to score some 20 round mags from a friend of mine. Still gotta get me some ammo too. Most ammo suppliers won't ship to Mass. Guess that means a road trip up to New Hampshire where the folks Live Free or Die!
