Default Hello from the South West corner of Missouri

Hello all wanted to say thank you for allowing me to be a part of this fine community.
I am honored to be here and learn about the 1911.
A little about my experience so far...
My first 1911 was a kimber. Not a good experience as I couldn't hardly get thru a mag without a FTF.
So was soured on the platform for years.
Then when guncrafter came out with the fifty I tried the 1911 again. As I always thought this is what a gun is suppose to look like.
Well needless to say I liked the platform again this time. Still shooting the fifty was so costly even reloading brass alone was forty cents each.
So I sold my two digit serial number fifty.
Then I found a coonan not a true 1911 but close enough. And it's 357 mag in an automatic what's not to love.
I also got a Dan Wesson V Bob and now I have found true love.
This gun is without a doubt my favorite.
I own Sig, ruger, coonan, Wesson, CZ on order and another Wesson in ten millimeter.
I am truly a fan of the 1911 again.
By the way I sold the kimber after about two weeks and carried a Sig p239 SAS in 357 Sig caliber.
Enough about me.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Howdy from Georgia!

My first 1911 was a DW (oldy but goody Panther). My second was a Colt. If the first had been the Colt I probably would never have bought another 1911 and would be a confirmed 1911 hater. But as it was, I was completely and permanently hooked because of the DW.
