Default Light Weight Handguard

I want to replace the handguard on my Rock River Operator with something lighter. The one it comes with is a massive chunk of steel.
I'm looking at this Samson Evolution, anyone ever used one?

I don't know anything about the Samson handguards. I've used 3 sets of Surefire M73's and really like them.

Here are 2 of my AR's with them....

This is one of mine with MOE hand guards and stock. 14.5" middie pinned to 16"

I have this DD lite rail that weighs only 10 oz. free float, to go on another build

Also, For those looking for AR parts, lowers. Uppers etc, a good site to look. They add new dealers often.

This is what mine has. If you want to hang stuff on it you can put it where you want it.

Another vote for the MagPul handguard. I have a couple and I'm very happy with them. Add a rail for a light etc as needed.

I agree that the Magpul MOE is a very light and reasonably solid solution. I got one as part of a PSA upper, and installed lower and left side rails for a light and bipod. I was planning to immediately get a DD Lite for it, but the Magpul works just fine.

Alex Check out Troy Inds and Knights Armament if you want to stay with the 1913 rail.

Magpul's MOE foregrip is a good one.

Palmetto State had a good deal on lightweight uppers so I finally got my wish to lighten this thing up. It feels real nice to hold now. I can't wait to shoot it.
