Dave-
Any thoughts on tuning the external extractors on the older DWs and some of the Kimbers and others? I've had considerable trouble getting the extractor right following an ejector pin break which appears to have cascaded to extractor damage. Fortunately I had a spare but they are currently as rare as hen's teeth with no factory support.

If it's a Kimber, contact the factory and they'll usually just replace the slide with a new slide with the internal extractor

Mike, thanks for the assist. This was posted by Semper while my computer was down.

Like Mike said, contact Kimber and they'll take care of the whole thing by installing a slide with a proper Extractor.

Dave--
But what about the DW?????? Will Kimber put a new internal ejector slide on my DW????

Well, since we're being cute, and Mike and I were referring to the kimbers you mentioned, I would suggest you take the DW and upgrade it with a Rock Island armory Slide, fitted by a gunsmith.

Semper, a little late but, there's really not much that can be done adjustment-wise with External Extractors.

I know this is a crazy-old thread but this is an excellent thread full of extremely valuable information, much of which I knew but it is bookmarked for me because it has great diagrams and some really really great content. Big Thanks Dave!
