This is a DOD film from 1944 on combat firing with the 1911A1. Just click on the link. Some of it, especially the grip, is still pertinent.

Thanks Dave, it was interesting and informative. I did notice however, no one was practicing trigger control. They ALWAYS had their finger on the trigger even when the instructor was in front of them!

Pretty good, no visible ear protection either!!
