As it turns out, I was considering that for my original OEM1, but didn't feel confident enough to do it. I'll give it some strong consideration, this time, especially since I can always replace it with another one if needed.


I don't mind losing the "backup" sight portion of it. I'm strictly a "scope" man, m'self.....

Problem solved.

You need one of these gas blocks or one similar..

You will need one of these as well..



These items along with the delta ring barrel nut and you will be able to run the Magpul hand guard.

With that block, you can install a folding front sight in case your scope fails.
