Default JOJO's Gunworks Dan Wesson specialist 9mm

Just picked up my Dan Wesson specialist 9mm from JOJO's gunworks.
Had the following work completed. Heavy dehorn and bevel package, total reliability, blend magwell, round butt magwell, serrated rear of slide, high cut trigger guard, high grip the Beavertail grip safety, replace ejector with EGW extended, bulletproof extractor, recess crown barrel 30 degrees, wilson ultralight match trigger, fine bead blast whole gun to get rid of the grey looks of DW bead blast. I dropped it off on Tuesday picked it up today. Couldn't ask for better service and the work looks great. Here are some photos.

Beautiful! I like it.

Interestingly enough there are a few here that don't like rails on a 1911. I like them, actually use them and see a purpose to them. Magwells, on the other hand, not so much. Never saw or had a need for them.

The gun does look great, though.

A gun is a tool, no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.

Nice pistol. What is the purpose/benefit of serrations on the back of the slide?
