Looks good! What kind of range is it capable of? If I recall correctly Mossad used a Ruger military version of the 10-22 as a urban sniper rifle. Not as much penetration as a .308 so it worked better for densely populated areas. I have thought they were a good plinking gun but may think more about them for longer distances for fun. I did some 100 yard steel with a .22LR pistol and the trajectory is pretty flat. I am just curious what the distance capabilities are of a 44gr bullet.

Well, if we have the right to bear arms, I suppose it is only fair that they arm bears.

I've had a single shot Marlin since I was a teenager...first rifle I ever reblued and refinished. I routinely made head shots on squirrels at over 50 yards with a cheap Weaver rimfire scope. I have since upgraded optics on that one

Thank you guys. Hitting Tenoroc Range in Lakeland, FL tomorrow early morning.

Charlie, out to 150 yds with tremendous precision using Federal Automatch or Aguila Hyper velocity. And this is out of the stock barrel and rifle stock (non-floated).

I've seen projects with Kidd components (bull barrel and drop-in trigger group), and those fancy boyds rifle stock. Then using ammo that's hot (over 1,400 ft/sec muzzle velocity) you can accurately group around 1" - 3" at 300-400 yds.

But it gets expensive to build such a rifle. Look up Kidd components, pricey.
