Default Baby's New Shoes

The Baby Rock got some new shoes, (which is good news for some lucky fella)

I ordered the grips before ordering the magwell, and then realized I had ordered the wrong grips for that magwell. So the first set is up for a Karma (see the "Grippy Karma" thread)

Where did you get those grips?

Looks good, perfect color for that pistol.

I really, I mean REALLY like that mag release cut. Almost like having an extended mag release. I had a problem in IDPA matches pushing the mag release without shifting my grip or twisting the gun (I got procedural for my muzzle going up while trying to push the mag release)

On the full sized 1911s I installed an extended mag release, but I won't have to on the compact.

Yes I agree, the "scoop" cut is great. I have smaller hands so I'm always shifting my grip to release the mag. I bought the slim grips with the scoop and now it's perfect in my hands.

Can't you just sand down the back to make the mag well ears fit?

Wood maybe, but sanding G10 is nasty business. The dust is really bad for your lungs.

I can relate to that. I've been getting VZ grips mainly so I can get their Super Scoop mag release cutout. It makes a huge difference for me when handling the gun. Anyway, those look sharp.

ETA: Tried to add a photo of the super scoops, but Photo Bucket hates me. And the feeling is mutual.

Nice grips. Scoop cut irritates me though, as I shoot correct handed
