Default Kobra Carry

I happened to fondle one of these at my LGS this past week. Can someone tell me if my VBOB is supposed to be DW version of this model. I know that DW are using (or have used) EB parts in their models.

The EB seemed to have a little more attention to detail and seemed smoother than my VBOB. The price on the EB reflected that. I didn't care much for the Snakeskin treatment and prefer the checkering on my VBOB.

Kobra Carry is a really nice gun, I am saving up for one right now, it will be my next gun..they are so darn sweet....the fit and finish are fantastic...EB knows his crap!

I am sure this does not help you but when I head EB I start to drool...

I was told the Cbob was DW's version of the EB Kobra Carry. Either way, Cbob or Vbob, the KC is a fine piece of craftsmanship.

If you don't like the snake skin then look at the EB Executive Carry which is a commander 4.25" gun with traditional checkering and a bobtail.

I would really like to have an EB Executive Elite which is the 5" model, now that is a sweet gun.

I know a gun is worth what a person is willing to pay, but is the there that much difference in my VBOB and a Kobra Carry? Is it worth $700-$1000 more?

I have never owned the VBOB but I do have a SS Kobra Carry and one of the nicest guns on the market. Ed Brown and Les Baer are my two favorite makers.

Good luck with your decision.

I personally wouldn't spend the extra dough.
