I took it to the range today. Took advantage during SWAT training. For now, I only zeroed it in at 50 yards. Eventually I will take it to a longer range where I can shoot 100, 200 and 300 yard distances. It shoots like a charm.




Not the best grouping. The left middle is where it was at before I brought in to the center. The missed heads shot were made by an Army guy. That's all I'm going to say about that.

great buy ! Love her, spoil her....but by all means fire her! That is what the ol'Marine would want :-). That's the rifle that freed a good portion of the civilized world. I'm glad it's in good hands and will be preserved for future Americans :-).

Since my last visit I managed to add another Garand to my collection. Saw it in a store and couldn't walk away. Actually, I did, but came back for it an hour later.
H&R 1954

Here they are together.

Careful......when you stick them together in the safe they have a propensity to multiply. At least that's what I tell the Bride, when she sees one of my new guns!
